Indian Company Adani Enterprises has bought Linc Energy’s coal tenement which runs acrossActon-owned Moray Downs, north west of Clermont (Central Queensland). Unsurprisingly, Adani Enterprises are interested in purchasing Moray Downs cattle station as well. Owning the land where mining tenements are located simplifies the development and operation of mines for the owners.
Buying the pastoral lease as well as the mining lease also removes an independent third party from keeping a 24/7 eye on environmental management.
Brothers Graeme and Evan Acton run Acton Super Beef, which owns Millungera (north of Julia Creek), Barkly Downs (near Mt Isa), the Iffley aggregation (southwest of Mackay), Croydon (between Rockhampton & Mackay) plus Mountain View and Paradise Lagoons near Rockhampton; as well as Moray Downs.
