Social media accounts & mobile version of the Fiona Lake website

Links to social media pages have been added to the website to make them easier to find.  Unless you have the exact address or the person you are looking for has a large account, finding their social media account can be difficult via Google because there’s so many people, worldwide, sharing the same name. And the Twitter search facility is close to useless, even failing when you do have the exact url.

  • LinkedIn: Fiona Lake. LinkedIn is a like a self-updating business card file & perpetual (free) conference of articles of specific interest. I’ve built up a network which includes more than 4,000 people.  Most are involved in agriculture (Australia or overseas) or they have a specific interest in rural Australia. Don’t hesitate to send me an invitation if you’re involved or interested in agriculture and you’d like to join my LinkedIn network. Don’t forget, though, to explain clearly why you’d like to join my network, especially if your interest in agriculture is not obvious on your LinkedIn profile.
  • Twitter:  @FionaLakeAus.  Up-to-the-minute ag and rural news and conversations, with a global ag network. Many interesting people sending out very interesting messages! Twitter is fantastic for people who are curious, outward looking and interested in learning and meeting new people.  I’ve met many fantastic people via Twitter (then in person), around Australia and overseas.  There’s a fantastic ag network on twitter, so I highly recommend it to others.
  • Twitter:  @Agri-Events. I use this account to help promote rural and agricultural events all around the world, plus news of awards, grants, charitable assistance etc.
  • Facebook:  FionaLakeAus.   I only use my Facebook page & profile sporadically; Twitter and LinkedIn are my preference.
  • Instagram: FionaLakeAus. I opened this account a while ago and have rarely used it – but I might crank it up in future.
  • Google+  Not used much…my hands are overfull.
  • Youtube:  FionaLakeAus.   There’s only a couple of videos that I’ve filmed (yet) but it does have a small collection of excellent videos made by others, from the Peterson Farm Bros to Australian but USA-based horse trainer Robin Wiltshire (Turtle Ranch, Wyoming).  Most of these videos are rural/agriculture related and some have taken quite a bit of searching to find. If you discover any great ag videos online please don’t hesitate to let me know so they can be shared and save others time otherwise spent seeking quality.
  • Pinterest:  Fiona Lake.  Unfortunately another account I don’t have time to feed. I have collected some photos of my favourite interests here – especially in relation to good design.

To make this website easier to read on mobile devices, a mobile version went online in 2012.  Viewable by clicking on the ‘view mobile’ link at the bottom of the Home Page.
